SORRY, for the mess!
Our website is getting a massage & resurfacing peel. It will be looking & feeling better in no time!
The traditional resurfacing face peel procedure involves the application of a solution designed to smooth and exfoliate skin while removing the damaged outer layer. A facial resurfacing peel is a safe, commonly used method of treating acne, age spots, brown spots, large pores, fine wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation. Recovery time is quick, with most redness and dryness subsiding within a week's time.

Special solutions assists in this skin treatment by stimulating new collagen and skin growth while allowing dead skin cells to fall off naturally. Right before the peel, the skin is cleansed. The solution is then applied to the skin with a small brush, gauze, or applicators. The solution is left on the skin for several minutes, depending on the strength of solution used, your skin type and condition. Water or alcohol may be used to neutralize the solution and end the  reaction, then it is wiped off. You may feel a little tingle while the solution is on your skin.

Smoother more youthful skin with the reduction of imperfections. A resurfacing peel is performed to reduce signs of sun damage and aging.  Repeated peels may be helpful to produce the effect a person wants. Peels do not prevent your skin from getting more sun damage. You must protect your skin from sun damage - ask your JenSpa skincare specialist about the most effective sun block protection. Depending on the strength of solution used for your peel, treated skin may flake or peel within 24 - 48 hours. Once the damaged layer of skin has fallen off, the new layer reveals a healthy glow!

How Long Does this Procedure Take?
Most resurfacing peels take as little as 30 minutes to perform, however some can take up to an hour.

Are There Resurfacing Peel Side Effects ?
When you think of resurfacing peels, you may be reminded of Miranda's unfortunate experience on that Sex and the City episode. She likely had a phenol peel, which is regarded by many experts as the most invasive peel on the market. Overall, most resurfacing peels cause minor redness, peeling and itching; however, blistering is not uncommon when treating stubborn age spots, sun spots, and severe acne. Your JenSpa skin specialist will let you know exactly what to expect from your resurfacing peel treatment.

How Long is a Resurfacing Peel Recovery Time ?
Most resurfacing peels don't require recovery time; however the redness and peeling may make you want to stay inside for a day or two. Most people have a resurfacing peel on a Friday so that they have the weekend to recover. Stay out of the sun for 48 hours and always wear sunblock to protect your skin.

What is the JenSpa Cost for a Resurfacing Peel?
$45-$250 Depending on strength of peel solution.

What strength of peel is best for me?
Your skin care specialist must see your skin, the type and condition of your skin will determine what strength is best for you.

Can Resurfacing Peels be Combined with Other Skincare treatments?
Yes - depending on the condition and type of your skin, a resurfacing peel may be combined with Microdermabrasion, Micro-Lift, LED light therapy as well as facial treatments.

Why should I list all medications and skin care products on my release form?
You should always list medications and skin care products used so your skin care specialist can  help determine if you may have a skin reaction due to medications you are taking or products you use on your skin. Also it allows your skin care specialist to determine if you are using what’s best for your skin during and after treatments.
