Microdermabrasion, also known as the "power peel," is low risk and requires absolutely no downtime. It is effective on its own, but Microdermabrasion can also be combined with Chemical peels and light-based treatments like LED Rejuvenation.

What is the Difference Between Microdermabrasion and Microderm ?
The terms are interchangeable, they both mean the same thing. You may also see, micro-derm or Micro Derm, again it is all the same treatment.

How Long Does this Procedure Take ?
Microdermabrasion treatments only last for about 30-50minutes. The number of Microderm treatments required is based on the severity of the skin condition, and the type of results your looking to achieve. It is recommended that you have treatments once a week for 6 weeks for most treatments & JenSpa offers affordable packages.

Does Microdermabrasion Have Side Effects ?
You can expect a slight dryness or flaking for a few days after your Microdermabrasion treatment. Some tightness, and a natural glow.

Does Microdermabrasion Require Recovery Time ?
There is no recovery time from Microdermabrasion; you can expect to resume your normal activities following your treatment. Microdermabrasion is a great procedure to undergo during your lunch hour.

Can I Get Microderm on My Body ?
Yes, you can get microderm on most parts of the body, except where skin is thin . The cost may very per area so set up a consultation to discuss your treatment.

What is the JenSpa Fee for Microdermabrasion ? 
As with all services at JenSpa, our microderm fees are very reasonable. Only $75-$115 per treatment, this includes face, neck and décolleté. Prices may vary on other parts of the body, ask your skin care specialists for details.

Will I Feel Pain or Discomfort After Treatment ?
You should not feel any pain or discomfort during your Microdermabrasion treatment. If you have extra sensitive skin, your Microdermabrasion provider may suggest some soothing moisturizers to use after treatment to make sure your skin is properly hydrated.

Can Microdermabrasion Be Combined With Other Treatments ?
With L.E.D. Light treatment, Micro-Lift and or a Chemical Peel treatment -Yes, in fact they are very efficient if combined. You will get faster results because each treatment has different benefits. Ask you skin care specialist about combining an affordable package that suits your skin care needs.

Why should I list all medications and skin care products on my release form?
You should always list medications and skin care products used so your skin care specialist can  help determine if you may have a skin reaction due to medications you are taking or products you use on your skin. Also it allows your skin care specialist to determine if you are using what’s best for your skin during and after treatments.

Are There Before & After Guidelines for Microderm ?
BEFORE
Avoid exfoliation 72 hours before treatment.   
AFTER
Most important - wear sun block with  titanium & zinc to avoid damage to your new exposed layer of skin.
Avoid exfoliation for 72 hours after treatment.
Wait 24 hours after treatment before shaving treated skin.
Please use what ever products are recommended by your skin care specialist. JenSpa offers samples and trial kits during treatments and offer a full line of professional and paraben free products.
